Palazzo Ignazio
Vivendo was entrusted with the supply and installation of high-quality doors for Palazzo Ignazio, a boutique hotel set within a restored palazzo in Valletta. This unique project required careful planning and close collaboration with multiple contractors, given the historic nature of the building and the limited working space available.
Our scope included fire-rated doors in timber and shaft doors in metal, designed to deliver both sound insulation and fire resistance. As a follow up, each door installation was fully inspected and certified by independent fire engineers to ensure compliance with stringent safety standards.

Heritage meets safety
Beyond corridor and fire escape doors, we also supplied shaft doors to house internal services, adapting each specification to the needs of the building. One of the project’s key challenges was integrating modern safety requirements within the palazzo’s original stone borders and restored corniches. To respect the building’s heritage, we customised the height of the doors, significantly higher than standard sizes, ensuring a seamless fit within the historic structure.

Installation was completed within a two-week deadline ahead of the summer season, reflecting our commitment to timely delivery. We also prepared the doors to accommodate the key card locking system and door handles chosen by the client, provided these met fire certification standards.
